Right to Education Introduction- Education is the process of making a person a social constructor and a citizen by making him/her acquire knowledge. Education increases the ability and capacity to become self-reliant in the future.Right to Education- At the time of independence, it was decided in our constitution that in the next ten years, compulsory basic education will be provided to all children up to the age of fourteen. Nature of Right to Education- Every child will have the right to free and compulsory education.A child admitted to school will not be held back in any class till Class 8 and will not be expelled from school without completing primary education. The child will not be subjected to physical punishment or mental torture.

Benefits of Right to Education-

1.Every child will get free primary education

2.The literacy rate will increase in the society.

3.Right to education makes children self-reliant, thinking ability, and aware of social responsibilities in their life.

4.The purpose of this right is to provide education to children in an equal and fair environment, so that they can become a self-respecting and capable citizen

5.No child will be held back, expelled, or forced to pass board exams until education is complete. There is also provision for special training for school dropouts to bring them at par with students of the same age
